Richardson Farms

So there I am, painting a chicken coop in my backyard in the Denver Highlands. I tell Burley “OOOO you know what I just remembered?! I have those letter stencils  in my craft closet… What do you think about branding the coop with ‘Richardson Farms’ Once I am finished?!”

Burley then tells me “That sounds arrogant.”

I say “I think it’s humorous. We are obviously not a farm.”

And that, my friends… Is how Richardson Farms was born.

And for interwebs securities sake… My last name is not Richardson… I swear…

Thriftarians  - I am excited to share the almost reveal of the back yard. AKA Richardson Farms. Burley and I have been working really hard to get the garden and coop up and running (the fencing in of all of it is the most time consuming, because of our crazy spaz of a boxer dog).

Here are some photos from our work day, yesterday. A lot of “almost finished” products…

This metal table & chairs was already in our back yard when we moved in. It was really dirty and rusty, but still gorgeous and in sound shape. I decided to spray paint, and give it new life. I am IN LOVE with how it is turning out, and can’t wait to show it to you, all set up in the final reveal!

Haha – Family shot. This was towards the end of our work day. So much was accomplished. I haven’t even shown you the 5ft tall chicken run that Burley built around the coop, complete with a door (AKA long old wooden screen that was already in the shed). He seriously is far more of a Thriftarian than I will ever be.

That’s it for now! Tune in later.. When you will see the grand reveal… COMPLETE WITH CHICKENS!
