OUR ADVENTURES: MY MOM. MY FRIEND. MY WEEKEND.

You know those times where you sit down to play cards, and 3 hours later you've played only 3 rounds, but talked about everything under the sun, and laughed your tail off and finished two bottles of wine? You know those moments where you FINALLY get to share something you love so much with someone you love so much? You know those memories that, as they are happening, you think to yourself... This is going to be an insane memory? That is exactly what this past weekend was to me.

My mom of 26 years (muhaha) came to visit Burley and I in the great state of Colrado. That's right. She flew all the way here, just to give us hugs and kisses. She is the BEST.

I can't even begin to count the amount of calories we burned by laughing.... the amount of calories we gained by drinking... or the amount of miles that we hiked through the great Rocky Mountains. OK. That last part is a lie. We probably only hiked a total of MAYBE 5 miles. I'm embarrassed. But... The scenery was insanely gorgeous. So of course we had to stand in awe a good bit (vs hiking in awe).

It was the most relaxed trip, and it was THE most incredible gift to share Colorado with my mom. And watch her enjoy this part of the country ever bit as much as I do.

It's really difficult to put into words what this past weekend meant to me. So I will show you as best as I can in pictures.

I love you, Mama. And I will cherish this weekend forever and ever.

PS. YES. We did see a moose from less than 30 ft away, with no fence in between. SCORE.

PPS. Don't forget to head on over to Along Abbey Road and see the REALLY awesome giveaway I am hosting over there this week!

Cheers,
Maddie

    1. Hahahaha - Heather, I think we should use the phrase "Moose to person" distance in casual conversation... Often. Hilarious! And yes... It was scary and amazing all at the very same time!
